 Forensic Services
Consultation on forensic or psycho-legal issues represents a major component of the clinical services that are offered by Dr. Karl M. Williams, Inc. A principal area of concern relates to the assessment of individuals who are at various stages of adjudication. Frequent referral questions pertain to matters such as the offender's psychological profile, offense causality, potential for recidivism, treatment and case management needs and risk to society.

In the past our consultative services have been extended to numerous defense and prosecuting attorneys as well as to probation, parole, correctional and police personnel. Dr. Williams' expertise has been especially sought on matters connected with sexual and violent crimes.

As one component of the assessment of sexual offenders, particularly those who have offended against children, the offender might be tested with the Abel Assessment for Sexual Interest (TM). In addition, we offer this testing service to other mental health professionals who are involved in the treatment of sexual offenders and who wish to track the sexual preferences and therapeutic progress of their clients.
